Design Team Layout - Gesso Grunge & Messy Fiesta Gesso

Here's another layout created with the wonderful printable art papers from Praierie Papier Cottage  from the Just Be Yourself Etsy Store. You can check out Anita's collections HERE.

For this layout I chose to start with the Messy Fiesta Gesso Paper #6, I then layered the purple paper from the Gesso Grunge printable paper pack (page #12), then I added an overlay photo at reduced opacity onto the background, added a wonderful photo mask I love, then added another picture to the photo mask. I added the word art and some stitching and that's it. Pretty simple page only took 10 minutes.

I absolutely love how Anita's papers are so versatile and so easy to work with.

Here are the previews for the two paper packs I used:

14 Days Of Hardcore Gratitude

I had completely forgotten that I still had one page to complete for my 14 Days Of Hardcore Gratitude mini album. You can find the link to the whole project on the Traci Reed Blog HERE. Here is my page for Day #14: Bad Attitude.

Introducing ... Messy Little Details

I have recently been led to this awesome blog called
Carolyn has started a wonderful blog project called Messy Little Details. This is what she shares on her blog:

"Each week I will share one of these photos, something that caught my eye and I had to photograph. A simple thing. A detail. A colour. A texture. The post will be short, a photo and a few sentences at most, it is the photo and the reason I had to take it that I want to share. I will try and make them recent photos, but the odd older one may slip in from time to time.

I also want to invite you to join me in sharing photos of those odd little things you just have to photograph, things that inspire you, thrill you, make you laugh or make you wonder.  I will include a linky list each week as I'd love to visit your blog. Choose a photo like I've described, blog it, add your link and visit others who have done the same, simple. Don't worry about when the photo was taken, recent is great but sometimes it is also good to review photos we took long ago and discover hidden gems."

As soon as I came across this blog project, I knew it was something I wanted to participate in. Every year over the winter my camera gets put away and I take very few photos. Every spring I am anxious to change that. To get out my camera again and begin documenting my life. I think this is the perfect way to document those simple, everyday things that bring me joy.

So here it is, my first photo I want to share. My Mom came over for dinner the other night and brought the girls and I this gorgeous boquet of flowers. I love having fresh flowers in the house.

Completed Digi In Deeper Class

This morning I finished the last assignment for the Digi In Deeper class I have been taking at JessicaSprauge.com . Loved this class - I learned so much, more than in any other of her classes I have taken. I would definitely recommend it to others. Here are the 12 completed layout I made from the class lessons. Really happy with how they all turned out.

Life

Live Free Love Life

And now for the exciting news! For quite some time my friend Anita has been working on opening up a support group on her site at Just Be Yourself  and due to recent requests it is now open. It is called Live Free Love Life. Check it out HERE. This will be a community of members who are looking for hope, help, and encouragement for various issues such as chronic disease or disorders, anxiety, depression, panic disorders, weight, victims of abuse, etc.

This is a closed group, meaning that it is for paid members only. The cost is $6.95 for 12 months, so about 58 cents per month. Resources will be made available in the form of a monthly journal card kit designed by myself including an introductory journal card kit of over 50 cards (these are ready to be downloaded). The journal cards are in PDF format and printer-ready. The first month's prompts and helps will consist of developing a healthy and realistic attitude about ourselves to begin the healing process.

Live Free Love Life's goal is to provide a safe environment for sharing what's on our hearts, realizing that we're not "in this" alone, and offer hope and encouragement for all. Other resources will be made available as well. The only "requirement" is that all information and sharing within the group is to remain confidential. There is a zero tolerance rule for any type of abuse, including flaming, breaking the confidentiality rule, spamming, etc. Life is far too short to suffer in silence and fear! Learn to live free and love life to it's fullest and all that it holds for you!
